ROOSTER GLASS RE-UP

As you know by now, Richmond glassblower Rooster  has been pushing the elements of electroforming. His use of copper, stones, and gems are always carefully crafted. After discussing techniques and kicking around ideas, it was time to get down to business. We selected various slides displaying some new approaches in Rooster's work. First we picked up two 14mm skull slides that are unlike anything we've seen in his work. While both come with the same design features, on one the boundaries of the skull are carved deep into the glass and the other comes with a spotted handle. Next we got a group of slides that support the style we've come to know as Rooster. All five have been electroformed and are set with various stones and gems. Lastly, we selected a few precisely blown, worked slides.
