Nine years ago a student at UC Berkeley set out with the goal to redefine and design his own brand of waterpipes. The task at hand was to make an everyday object better trough redesign. After weeks of hard work aided by his father, the first series of PHX water pipes were being lab tested. THe PHX design creates multiple chambers through which the smoke passes. This process allows for a longer cooling time and smoother intake. At each chamber the smoke is forced into smaller tubes and thus diffused more. Speaking of diffusion, the PHX company has developed a new HD design. This is know as the HoneyComb Diffuser, and is comprised of hundreds of holes into a fixed disk. The HD design allows for ultimate diffusion with vary minimal drag. We are sure that anyone who tries this design will become a fan of the HD!
